Presenters: Bart Davis and Kim Watts from ESGR (Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve)
Bart O. Davis: after a 35-year military career, Bart retired in November 2000 and pursued various consulting and volunteer activities. He educates and assists National Guard and Reserve Service members regarding their benefits and how to obtain available services for themselves and their family members. Bart is certified by the state of Utah as an ADRP Negotiator and Mediator. He holds a master degree in organizational management, serves on numerous boards and councils, and is the author of Restoring Dignity and Leadership.
R. Kim Watts: retired from active duty service with the Utah Army National Guard as a Colonel in June 1999. He is now the full time Executive Director for Utah's ESGR Committee and assists Utah ESGR volunteers with education, training, and logistics. Additionally, he coordinates with the ESGR national headquarters in Washington, D.C., on policy and national guidance issues. "We help employers understand that when they support an employee who servies in teh National Guard or Reserve, they become an owner and Patriot Partner in our national defense."
